Key points to note during wire harness processing quality inspection

To ensure the quality of wire harness processing, the following aspects need to be paid attention to during wire harness quality inspection:

1. Grouping process: Check if the trimming is neat and the dimensions are correct. Do not scratch the core wires when trimming the grouping.

2. Wire cutting: Check if the wire size meets the relevant requirements and if the model is correct. The cut must be neat, the wire must not be scratched, and the wire must not be dirty.

3. Outer sheath stripping: Check if the stripping opening is neat and the stripping dimensions are correct. Do not damage the braided wires or core wires during stripping.

4. Inner sheath stripping: Check if the stripping opening is neat and the stripping dimensions are correct. Check if the core wire is damaged or if the copper wire is broken; the insulator must not fall off during semi-stripping.

5. Heat shrink tubing application: Carefully check if the heat shrink tubing model and dimensions are correct.

6. Pre-soldering: Check if the tin furnace temperature is correct; before pre-soldering, organize the core wires and copper wires, and check for any bending, bifurcation, or kinking.

7. Soldering: Check if the soldering iron temperature is correct; do not burn the insulation, the solder joint should be smooth with no sharp tips, and there should be no cold solder joints or false soldering.

8. Terminal crimping: Check if the terminal and wire specifications are correct; check for any tilting or bellmouth (flared) issues in the terminal crimp.

9. Terminal insertion: Check if the terminal and connector models are correct; check for any deformation or damage to the terminal; check if the terminal is incorrectly inserted, missing, or not fully inserted.

10. Housing assembly: Check for any scratches, incorrect assembly, or burrs on the housing, missing components, and if screws are oxidized, loose, stripped, or discolored. If the housing has a specific direction, it must be assembled according to requirements.
